Eileen brings to her classes a contagious enthusiasm for all areas of health and wellness. Her goal is to help her students to focus, and to turn off the distractions of worry, anxiety, fear, and to-do lists so that they can experience their truest selves.
A California native, Eileen earned a BS in Exercise Science from the University of Southern California, completed her Flow Yoga 200 hr YTT, and continues to learn through teacher trainings, workshops and personal practice.
She has studied vinyasa, restorative and yin yoga; Indian club training; and strength and conditioning. She never misses an opportunity to learn from different practitioners and pass along helpful information to her students. Eileen is currently studying with Ganesh Mohan to complete a 500 hr Svastha Yoga Therapy Program.
In 2007, Eileen founded Kurtz Performance to offer yoga and functional strength and conditioning in individual, team, and small group formats. She has trained hundreds of students over the last decade, including youth and college athletes, homemakers, and members of elite law enforcement and military units.
Eileen loves to help students move with greater awareness and to feel freedom through release, mobility, stability and strength. Her students learn to improve patterns of movement, feel at ease, and create positive habits and change.

About the Classes
Daily 7:00 – 8:00 AM Monday-Thursday: Strength & Conditioning Friday: Yoga
Strength and conditioning classes include dynamic warm up for movement preparation and core stability training. Each day will be different with focus on improving strength and conditioning through “circuit” style training and high intensity interval training (HIIT) with emphasis on form and functional complex movements. Exercises will include body weight, TRX, dumbbells, kettle bells, medicine balls, stability balls, boxes, Indian clubs, resistance bands and running. All exercises will be properly progressed to your fitness level. We will finish with some yoga to help with recovery and refresh your mind. Class size is limited.
Friday: Vinyasa style yoga under the beautiful morning sky!
You do not need to be flexible. Yoga is self-care; we will practice releasing tension, joint mobilization and stabilization, while linking breath with movement to focus the mind inward.
